Godly Fear | Kim Miller
I'm going to read a book called the Love of AI. I'd like to continue with that subject this morning. This is how my service is going to be as a period and as I was studying, I was all about life. I hope I did a good job. And you know, you think about fear more. You know what's in fear, so we're going to spend some time on this. And so that was right behind me here. So the first part of the text today, and so that was right behind me here. So the first part, the text today is Psalm 33. So if you want to turn and read Psalm 33, there's 20 verses in Psalm 33. And I would like to end this sermon, end Psalm 34, reading it. That is where I think that we can go to Psalm 34.
Speaker 1:I'm just giving a little introduction to Psalm 33 here. The psalm begins with a call for the righteous to rejoice in the Lord. The musical has to be a very inventive song. It's a shots of joy. It highlights God's character as righteous, just and loving, emphasizing the truth and righteousness of his truth, god's power. It shows God's power in creation, where the heavens were made by his word and the earth was formed by his breath. It also explains how, through God's sovereignty over the nations and the frustration of human plans, highlighting his steadfastness in all generations. And then it ends with, by encouraging the trust of the Lord, emphasizing that God's plan and firmly blessing his nation is God and the Lord, emphasizing that God's plan and the term of the blessing is the nature of God as the Lord.
Speaker 1:And guess what I found when I think of God up here, I find myself going through life, trying to look at the gospel of life out here, but out of the wrong. Here there's a fear that we talked about this morning Fearing God but being in awe of God. You know, so many times I've had in the past lived my life in the fear of, in the fear of some of that nature, fearing God because, hey, that'll bear him all the next time. So, and I believe that's the wrong way to help them with their sight. So this is today, the past two months. We just go ahead and start reading it, so it might be possible to get through the notes. So I guess there's two things I was concerned about this morning, and that's being invested in the work of God and also make sure that we do it at home. But I spoke to this last night, so we'll try to keep moving. I'm not going to touch base. We're going to touch base on a lot of interesting things here, but we're just going to bring it in and in the thrust here, just to bring out who God is and that he can't be trusted. All right.
Speaker 1:So let me read this one Shed for joy from the Lord, only righteousness. Praise and fix the upright. Give thanks to the Lord for the liar. Make melody to him with the harp of heaven's freedom, sing to him a new song, play stillfully on the strings with the pop of shadows, for the word of the Lord is upright and all his work is done in his faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice. He read this full of the steadfast love of the Lord.
Speaker 1:By the word of the Lord the heavens were made and by the presence of God all were heard. He gathers the waters of the sea as he puts the leaves in his heart. Let all the earth hear the Lord. Let all the heavens of the world stand in awe of him, for he spoke and he came to be the commander of the nation. The Lord gave him half of the nation to not name, to frustrate the question of the people. The counsel of the Lord stands for us, the question of his word and all the nations. Blessed are the nations, blessed are the nations gathered, the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his character, as his character over the world. The Lord went down from heaven to see all the children of man and where he sits at throng, he looks out on all the men having left his church, he who fashions the hearts of them all, and he who fashions the hearts of them all and the third over him. The king is not saved by the spirit army. The warrior is not delivered by his spirit strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation and by his great might he is sent on rescue. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope to be saved by the war horse, that he may deliver their soul from death, and on their whole life and family. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our God and our Savior, for our heart is not in the hands of the corrupt and the soul is not. Let your steadfast love for the Lord be a promise to you and to those who believe in you.
Speaker 1:Going back to verse 1. Here it says it's a phrase that we must be up to. It's appropriate to do this to God, right. It's appropriate that David blesses Jesus and that's what he does to the Lord. It properly responds to everyone who walks on this earth and it serves him for his good. That's right. Those who believe. Yet what are those who believe in God and commit much of his, commit much of his, that he's right over what he did in life and he you make the much of him that is right over what is his life and you declare it what you have done. In verse 2 and 3, the psalm is full of clearly, before it's done, before it's phrased, it says Give thanks to the Lord for the wire and give melody to him that he may work and sing. Thanks to the Lord for the water and the melody for him to have brought to him to sing.
Speaker 1:It seems to me a new song, which is called Fleet, and it's a great new song to have and I'm not going to spend a lot of time telling you to pray to the Lord, whether it's with your mouth. It says we should shout and I think that's what it means. There's an energy behind the word our prayer. And it also says we should use an instrument to do it. And I know from the past there have been people that think maybe that's pretty, that's pretty old-fashioned. But whether you use an instrument or an art, the most important instrument is the art and the art, whether a part, that has a new song coming from the soul, that is the spirit, and is connected to the source of living water that Jesus Christ is living. So I think it's the most important instrument that we can use in worshiping our Father.
Speaker 1:In these two verses we see there's four qualities that are coming through. First of all we talked a little bit about it. He said that was the verse one shout with joy. And in verse two it says give thanks to worship God and thank God. And I think about thank God, thank. I think about it in the middle of the sermon. I think about it in the middle of the sermon. I think about it in the middle of the sermon. I think about it in the middle of the sermon.
Speaker 1:Verse 3 is a new song. Verse 3 is a new song. God wants our worship to be sincere. God wants our worship to be sincere and he wants it to be fresh and in other words I think it's a constant. And in other it's not that we are just trying to practice, obviously not. But we live for that. We are precious in our life. And of course it shouldn't be just recognition, it shouldn't be just joy through the worship, it shouldn't be just teaching. And last of all, god appreciates school. He says sing your Him a new song. Please feel for us when we sing this song. We appreciate you, god, for your blessing. Let's sing. We worship you, man.
Speaker 1:Moving on here, verses 4 and 5. God's word is bright and true, meaning it can be trusted and relied upon. Verse 4 says the word of the Lord is upright and all things work as one can make them. God's actions are consistent with His promises and character manifestations. So I will instruct you. God is good.
Speaker 1:He is also in verse 4 and verse verse 5 of the book of Genesis. It's the phrase if as love. The phrase if as love I'm violating the Hebrew style here, but this is what I found If as love has the Hebrew word can be rewarded by giving to one another justice, which encompasses God's loving, kindness, mercy, faithfulness and commitment. So we see here in verse 5, it says he loves righteousness and justice. In other words, god loves on His right and on His care. It serves as a tool for the to step back and look and look at God. We also see that God's love isn't just a present. It isn't just present in one place For one person, for one people. God is transferring all of our creation. It says the earth is a tool for us to step back and look at God all of creation. It says the earth is full of. What is said about God. God's nature and how he relates to the world is emphasized here. His love for God's goodness and his unwavering commitment to his creation. That's a compliment to the word. God means he is the middle of the creation.
Speaker 1:He is a part for the New York Giants, because the military is a big part of the history. I was taking away from my notes that I'm going to be the president, but I thought I had to admit it. So. But this next part, we're not going to talk about it, but we like to talk about what kind of superpowers would be nice to have. I think we all would have a super power. It's not that we're going to have one, but whatever.
Speaker 1:But if you look into this next section here verses 6 through 9, we serve a God who is super powerful. It says by the word of the Lord the heavens were changed. But the Lord has been found and all is good. And I love to think that God in the New 20th century put the moon and the sun in the moon's sky, that he spoke, but then he said, and by the breath of his mouth, all their doors, how can you watch the stars? I like the idea. This is my idea. This is my idea, this is not your idea. I like the idea of him speaking this to the moon the sun's on the moon and then he just goes and all of a sudden I just want to do it. But that's the God that we serve. He's able to do that. I don't know if that's what he did or not, but he would be able to do that, whether that's by Him or not, but he wouldn't be able to do that. So in Amos 7, the God that God created has been there through His voice, through His words and His power, and he will have it.
Speaker 1:Verse 7, we see it points to God's control over creation, particularly the three fields, particularly the seed fields. He's going to try to build those. Listen, the horses and saunters of the glory of God will be reached. He says to himself, he gathers the waters of the seed and puts them in his storehouse and that's something that's not very safe in the garden. He says, yeah, here's your husband, the guy with the stuff. He's going to defend ourselves against the power of the devil. He encourages reverence and awe over the devil because of his power.
Speaker 1:The ability to create the universe by the Lord alone can be used for the whole world to understand it. It's not just a book. It is created for all to be positive. We live out of fear. We're not battling for it. It's just awful. We're not battling for it. 21, verse 9. We see that God's Word has as an instrument of their creation. Under the story of the importance of faith in God's power, we can suggest that God's word is a common power. But also God's word Most times. It's the mission, it's their mission. That's what they're all about.
Speaker 1:Moving on to verse 10, verse 12. It highlights verse 10 says the Lord brings counsel to nations in battle to frustrate the plan of the world. In other words, to nullify the counsel of the Lord to frustrate the plan of the world. This means that even when humans have their own problems, they are rather helpful to God. And later on in the book of Acts, I'm going to move on to the other one. I'm going to move on to the other one. It says yeah, we've heard that so many times About how God is faithful. And this is bringing out, this is gathering research of how God is faithful to us. And I'm just going to bring out just to gather the research. I was made to have God behind me to keep me from doing things I do the time of the time. I'm married to a boy Verse 12. Blessed in the nation is the dad of the world. The people of the earth are his children. Just bringing out the blessing Verse 12. Blessed in the nation, be the dad of all the people who kill each other for who can marry. Just bring out the blessing of having God as our guide and the joy of being killed by God.
Speaker 1:God sees all things. You see there in verse 13. He is omnipresent. He is aware of everything. There is no one that's aware of that. The Lord looks down on you. He sees all our sins. God fashions all. He is omnipotent. God's hand is on all our lives. What we see here. It says in verse 14 and 15, from where he sits, he's prone to work out on all the other people. We'll talk about that some other day. But then he talks about the 15th century, he who fashions the hearts of the law, his influence on all our lives, and then he says and observes all our needs. So God understands our inner needs, he understands the very core of our hearts. He is to abound understanding of all human actions and other actions. He understands the power of the Lord. He understands the power of the Lord. He understands.
Speaker 1:Go back to the book. I'm going to take a look at the next page. I'm going to give you a sample. The next part talks about kings and the army. Well, they are not going to be saved. Verse 16,. Verse 17,. Verse 16, the king did not save us. The great army, the water is not delivered by the king. You can see here that the line of earthly power, even the side of the kingdom of the glory, the water, is not delivered by the king. They're talking about the spirit of the king. They're not talking about the security. We're not talking about the security. The security cannot be destroyed. The warrior cannot be destroyed. Only God can save us.
Speaker 1:Verse 17, the horse, the symbol of military strength and technology in ancient times. We may have been willing to talk about force, but we're talking about military strength. But in ancient times there was a symbol of military strength and technology. And if you see how it has behaving with the Pope, the Green forces have the idea that even the most advanced military troops, they cannot guarantee the security of the army. Verse 17, it says the war horse will get called forth for something to do. But I am free to play. I'm not aggressive there again, god is the only one that can do that. Victory deliverances are not determined by the effect, but more, very much by God's power and strength. He serves as a warning and a trust in the goodness of God and a reminder of God's ultimate control over your character.
Speaker 1:This week we're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that. So you're serving with God's love. You're giving God your power. You're giving God your power. You're giving God your power. You're giving and given to our, our and the other peers. Having that here. You know that would. That would for a while. We'll do our military and the national ones and the national ones that really are a part of our lives.
Speaker 1:The church is 18. There's 18 people here. It highlights the Lord's eye on all things, and people who are poor and need help need a lot of help. The psalm encourages trust in the Lord, who is seen in all things and is seen in all things. We are taking the night from. This time we are 18th and 19th in the Seminary.
Speaker 1:The works of Stephen get the Lord's eyes on those who fear him and those who fear him. This implies that, rather than actively watching over us, we are in the place of God. The theme is that we hold the eye of the Lord on those who fear him and on those who told me. This is the dead fast part. Dead fast is, a lot of times, the worst that can happen. It's a big soul. It's a bunch of people.
Speaker 1:There's a night that human deliverers their souls from death. They can all die. That's an interesting verse. It's saying that human deliverers souls from death. They can be alive and can't. That's an interesting verse. It's saying that he delivered a soul from the dead and he can be alive and can't. You know, we know people who have experienced this, who are immoral, who die and can't. But here he was talking about the soul. Let's say that he didn't deliver the body to God. He says you can't deliver the soul. It would create a thing of the soul To me. We have a thing by the soul and I'm here to tell you about the soul, that we will deliver the soul from God In the life, about the soul, that we will deliver our soul from hell. It promises that God will only raise people from death and keep them alive. That's what I'm talking about. It's the death of our people. It's the death of our people. It's the death of our people.
Speaker 1:Verse 22. It says it talks about the solace of the flesh and the desire. To this passage, the psalmist is questioning the American truth. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our God and our Savior. Our heart is gladdened by the Lord's confession. The Pilate is important to the place in which the world is extremely important. He also expresses joy. In expressing joy, the signifier of his deep love for humanity is the sign of love. He loves people. He sees people in all faces. He is the one who can see the eye, that it's in the middle of the island. Where is the border? It doesn't exist. Where are you putting the threat? Why are you defending yourself? That's what you're asking yourself. We have to watch that. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our hope. Amen, for our heart is glad. Verse 22,. Let your steadfast love for the Lord be upon you even as we call to prayer. It concludes with the prayer of the Lord's mercy upon you.
Speaker 1:It's an emphasis that I'm going to use in the United States. It encourages religious professional work on daily life and the secret profession of knowledge, and knowledge that we have always watched over and carried over over the years and years and years. We have a gospel on our side in Clarksville. I'm sure you know what a critical order is going to be. This is probably not the answer, but while we have to promise you what we can, we will consider it a battle in the best interest of the world, something we don't understand. Understand what happens in life. The bad has to be in the heart.
Speaker 1:Now moving to Psalm 34. And I can spend a lot of time on it, but here this is Psalm 34 by David. And David was cleaning the word of Saul, and he came in front of David when he was acting, when he was dealing with him, and he was afraid of being an actor. So he just did that thing and he thought that was a lot of weird, I don't know. Scratch the wall, I don't know, that's what it was. And so this song here was written after that, after he, after that I don't know how long after he was. So this song, so Psalm 33, the name of the song is Psalm 34. And I believe it understood what God was doing. So I'm going to read you a psalm.
Speaker 1:David says I will bless the Lord all times. And let's make this connection to 1 Corinthians 3. The first part of 33 was Ask and call me, just as I shall, and worship the Lord. And here David says I will bless the Lord all times. His praise shall be to me and to my heart. My soul makes its boast. That's the humble fear of the Lord. Go, magnify the Lord's name. Let us exalt His name together.
Speaker 1:I don't know how many people were there, but I know two pastors who left. Yes, but we're going to see. It was seen. So he was passing and all the children and the more people. Here it says I saw the Lord and he me, and he learned me from all my fears. I knew how to live. Those who look to him are raised and their faces show never to be changed.
Speaker 1:This poor man died and the Lord. Lord heard him and saved him out of all his trouble. The angel of the Lord came out and round those who cared him and the Lord was with him. O hasten to see that the Lord is with you. Blessed is the man who is with you. O fear the Lord and do your sins, but those who fear him have no life. 3. Hear the Lord, ye who sin, for those who fear him have no life. 4. The young lions suffer for all their glory, but those who seek the Lord find no peace. 5. Come O children, listen to me, I will teach you what man is there who is there to life and loves you in the same way. Keep your child from evil and delusions and to deceit. Turn away from evil and to do it and to do it. We didn't talk about assuming that we were to do it upright. We talked about being upright. A person that likes to write and to do evil.
Speaker 1:Verse 15. We eyes the Lord for the righteous and the pure the face of the Lord is against the nature of evil. We cut off the memory of them who do good. When the righteous cry out for help, the Lord will save them. He will deliver them out of all their trouble. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the brokenhearted. Many of the oppressed are righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of their trouble. He keeps all of his problems, not one of them. Affliction will slay everything. Those who take the righteous will be saved. The Lord is on our side. He says those who take the righteous will be saved.
Speaker 1:Verse 22,. The Lord redeems the right of all souls. None of us take the right of all souls. None of those take your asses off. So I hope this one, this, could be the courage to do that.
Speaker 1:The list of life that's gathered here, trust me, it's the best one. I love that he did that. I love that he did that. I love that. It's a great point. He understands the inside out. He's very much in the heart of it. He dashes each one of us. He's in each one of us and I encourage you this morning to put that forward for us. And we are all in it. And here's a little bit of a. Here's a little bit of a. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, thank you For your words, for your word, for your time. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. And that, by your word, we will be able to do what you want us to do, so, god, as we go through life. Thank you.
